PURPOSE OF COURSE
This one-day, eight-hour program has been designed as a collaborative effort to provide officers with effective tools to inoculate against law enforcement suicide and other negative risk factors.
COURSE OVERVIEW
This Program incorporates The Fatal 10 of Law Enforcement Suicide, Financial Wellness: Navigating the Financial Beat, and Legal Planning: Reducing Stress through Preparation. This course provides data collected through research of law enforcement suicide, and financial and legal planning guidance to provide active officers with information and tools that reduce overall life stressors.
CLASS RATIONALE
This class will provide a breakdown of the Fatal 10 and what officers, agencies, and families can do today to minimize risk on and off duty, including financial and legal preparedness.

of Law Enforcement Suicide
Stephanie Samuels is a psychotherapist who works exclusively with police officers. Ms. Samuels has lectured all over the country on PTSD and vicarious trauma, including undiagnosed PTSD and the fallout from departmental silence after officers are involved in critical incidents. She is the Founder and President of COPLINE, Inc., the first Confidential National Law Enforcement Officers’ Hotline in the country manned by retired officers. She is also the general partner of The Counseling and Critical Incident Debriefing Center, LLC, which specializes in debriefing and long term counseling of first responders and their families. She taught at the Monmouth County Police Academy for 16 years and has been a guest lecturer at The FBI Academy in Quantico.
