Bank The Blue’s mission is to fund training programs and mental health services for
Illinois Law Enforcement Officers in an effort to END THE STIGMA.

Bank the Blue safeguards all officers’ privacy and confidentiality at all times.

Our fundraising efforts are implemented in partnership with retired police officer training programs and certified, culturally competent clinicians who specialize in treatments oriented for the unique needs of Law Enforcement Officers.

BTB 2023 Achievements

• Funded treatment through Bank The Blue’s fully vetted clinicians who specialize in treating first responders.

• Recruited retired Illinois officers to participate in Bank the Blue’s Ambassador training program.

• Hosted and fully funded Dr. Olivia Johnson’s Fatal 10 of Law Enforcement Suicide seminars to train thousands of active and retired Illinois Law Enforcement Officers.

• Collaborated with local departments and agencies to host additional Fatal 10 Law Enforcement Suicide seminars funded by Bank the Blue.

• Expanded our department roll call visits to spread awareness of Bank the Blue’s services and resources.

• Met with department leaders to build relationships and promote Bank the Blue’s mission.

• Attended multiple police outings and conferences to raise awareness of Bank the Blue’s services and resources.

• Networked with local police unions and associations to raise awareness of Bank the Blue’s services and resources.

• Hosted local fundraisers to promote mental health advocacy and gain community support for officers.

• Recruiting retired Illinois officers to participate in Bank the Blue’s Ambassador training program.

• Collaborating with local departments and agencies to host and fund BTB’s Officer Wellness Program featuring The Fatal 10 of Law Enforcement Suicide, Financial Wellness: Navigating the Financial Beat, and Legal Planning: Reducing Stress through Preparation.

• Expanding our department roll call visits to spread awareness of Bank the Blue’s services and resources.

• Building relationships with department leaders to promote Bank the Blue’s mission.

• Networking with police unions and other nonprofit organizations to develop relationships and mutual goals related to officer wellness.

• Hosting local fundraisers to promote mental health and raise awareness of the trauma law enforcement officers observe routinely.

Attend BTB's Next Officer Wellness Program

Attend BTB's Next Officer Wellness Program

Officers will receive an ILETSB certification of completion that satisfies the requirements of the Illinois SAFE-T Act.

This one-day, eight-hour program has been designed as a collaborative effort to provide Officers with effective tools to inoculate against law enforcement suicide and other negative risk factors.
